Good luck to the Romanian team at the "ESGE Days Cup 2022"! "ESGE Days Cup 2022" is a friendly competition between ESGE member companies. It takes place during the ESGE Days congresses, in which teams of four young endoscopists (under the age of 40) compete to answer questions based on endoscopy and general knowledge, questions that are set by the ESGE EYE Committee. At this moment, this year's Romanian team is qualified for the semifinals !!! The team consists of Tudor Moga (Timisoara), Iuliana Nane (Cluj-Napoca), Alexandru Constantinescu (Bucharest), Cristina Tocia (Constanta). 13 countries participated, of which 8 countries qualified for the semifinals. The previous winner was from Spain. Who will take home the cup this year? Good luck to the Romanian team !!!

Dear Friends and Colleagues, On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee and of the EGEUS Board, we are sad to announce that the EGEUS Congress that should have taken place this November in Cluj-Napoca has to be postponed for next year, due to the COVID pandemic and the enforced laws. The new period is June 2-3, 2022 and the event is set to take place in the same location – Grand Hotel Napoca, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Link: The 9th European Congress of Endoscopic Ultrasonography with live demonstration (medical-congresses.ro) The 9th EGEUS Congress will approach all the hot topics and will provide cutting edge information about the latest practices and ongoing research in EUS. Due to the current pandemic situation, the meeting will have the format of a hybrid event with limited on spot participation. The hybrid event developed for this meeting, will show features of a real onsite meeting/course with participants remotely connected to attend real time live demonstrations, lectures, debates, and video presentations. Formats are intended to offer all opportunities for interaction allowing attendees to interact by asking questions to the speakers, participate in the discussion, all this with speakers, faculty members and attendees remotely connected from any location worldwide. This congress will be organized under the auspices of the European Group for Endoscopic Ultrasonography (EGEUS) in collaboration with the Romanian Society of Gastroenterology (SRGH), the Romanian Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SRED) and the Romanian Working Group of Endoscopic Ultrasonography (GREUS). Constanţa este pentru a treia oară gazda celui mai important eveniment ştiinţific anual de gastroenterologie: Al 40-lea Congres Naţional de Gastroenterologie, Hepatologie şi Endoscopie Digestivă. Pentru noi, pentru Facultatea de Medicină a Universităţii Ovidius din Constanţa este o onoare şi, totodată, o mare responsabilitate. Oraş la ţărmul Mării Negre, Constanţa se caracterizează în special prin diversitate multietnică şi culturală, elemente ce au stat la baza unei culturi legată de mare, soare, valuri şi corăbii depărtându-se în zare. De aceasta dată, însă, oraşul poetului exilat la ţărmul mării, Ovidiu, este mândru să primească cei mai importanţi specialişti gastroenterologi din ţară şi invitaţii lor din străinatate într-o manifestare ce se anunţă de înalt nivel ştiinţific, cu dezbateri şi controverse fervente pe teme de actualitate. Suntem pregătiţi să vă primim într-o locaţie caldă şi prietenească, în staţiunea Mamaia, propice, totuşi, dezbaterilor ştiinţifice de înalt nivel. Participarea dumneavoastră în număr cât mai mare şi implicarea directă în succesul ştiinţific al evenimentului este dorinţa noastră cea mai arzătoare. Fie ca anul 2021 sa rămână în memoria gastroenterologiei româneşti ca unul ce a marcat educaţia tinerilor gastroenterologi şi a contribuit semnificativ la afirmarea acestora.   Vă aşteptăm cu drag la Mamaia, Constanţa în Mai 2021!
