Romanian ESD Task Force

For the attention of the members of the Romanian Digestive Endoscopy Society

Dear colleagues, dear friends,

I hereby inform you that I have started the Romanian ESD Task Force project. This project is dedicated to the development and dissemination of advanced endoscopic resection techniques, particularly submucosal dissection.
In this project, we want to organize hands-on sessions on pig stomachs for initiation in the technique of submucosal dissection. They will be organized in Cluj-Napoca, with a limited number of participants to make the whole process more efficient.
We also have a mentoring program for those who have patients who are candidates for submucosal dissections. They will contact us, after which the procedures will be started within the framework of Institute of Gastroenterology from Cluj-Napoca.
During the UMF days on December 8, the first hands-on session will take place for ten participants. In addition, another case of dissection will be performed together, in the Medical III clinic.
In the future, we will continue to have such quarterly programs, allocating two cases per month for supervised dissections.
